Technical Video Analysis

Here at Elite Junior Tennis, we focus on the type of tennis analysis relating to the tennis technique of a player. One of the crucial elements that can separate professional players to collegiate players to local club and tournament players is visible in their tennis strokes. There are many other factors that can influence a player’s skill level; strategy, fitness, mentality on the court, footwork and talent. However, one aspect that has always remained a constant over a decade of researching the elite players in slow motion is video analysis. Players at the elite level usually have cleaner, more efficient and effective strokes over the amateur level players.

Introduction to Technical Video Analysis

Here at Elite Junior Tennis (E.J.T.), we focus on analyzing the tennis technique of players through detailed video analysis. While factors like strategy, fitness, footwork, and mental strength all contribute to performance, stroke technique is often what separates professional, collegiate, and amateur players.

Why the Naked Eye Isn’t Enough

A tennis stroke happens so quickly that the human eye—limited to about 30 frames per second—misses crucial details. Tiny idiosyncrasies in technique go unnoticed during live play. Ironically, it’s these small differences in swing path and body mechanics that influence a player's ability to generate power, spin, depth, and control.

Our Advanced Equipment & Setup

At E.J.T., we use state-of-the-art video equipment, supported by a 42-inch LCD TV and flexible camera setups that can be mounted anywhere on the court. This allows us to capture any stroke from any angle, providing our juniors with comprehensive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
