After School Program
The Beginner/Intermediate Program has a strict focus on technical development. Playing tennis requires complex motor skills involving movement, tracking and timing. Introductory tennis-related activities to develop athleticism may include rolling, tossing or catching and ultimately hitting the ball over the net. Tennis will grow with your child’s age and ability. At such a young age the brain is like a sponge and inserting the correct technique can ultimately determine how much a child can achieve with their tennis.
Beginner and the intermediate players are broken down into courts/groups relative to the age and level of experience. We will never set a junior up for failure although do encourage competitive play. At E.J.T we make the combination of technique and movement on court a fun and enjoyable experience. It’s a process that keeps our kids engaged in the sessions and more importantly encourages them to continue to practice and compete for years to come. Once they have achieved the basic foundation of the tennis skills and have the ability to train at a high level they will transition into the Elite/Advanced Program where they will begin to learn the strategy and mental aspects associated with competitive match play.
